Subject: In God We Trust: Words From Samuel Thompson

I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December.

I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher explained Darwin's theory of evolution.

Life, liberty, or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.

''But it's a Christian prayer,'' some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. And we are in the Bible Belt. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect--somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.

If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha. And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome...

''But what about the atheists?'' is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer. Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us just to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well..........just sue me. The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard, know that the vast majority doesn't care what they want. It is time the majority rules!

It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray, you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance, and you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right. But by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away.

We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN! After all the God you have the right to denounce is on our side!

God bless us one and all, especially those who denounce Him...

God bless America, despite all her faults.. still the greatest nation of all....

God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God...

This will be the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions.

Keep looking up. In God we trust.

Keep this moving, good stuff speaks for itself.

Samuel Thompson wrote:

And I wouldn't want to sue the Easter bunny either. "Easter" is a Pagan goddess who the holiday was in honor of before the Christians (trying to force the Pagans to convert) took it over and claimed it as their own. Yet I've nothing to fear from Her.
I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.
I wouldn't hire a lawyer to sue my Physics instructor over the "theory" of Gravity either. Pointless.

The "big deal" is one group forcing others to listen to their hypochristian crap & lies. Why tolerate that? I'm not into being programmed.
"But, it's a Christian prayer," some will argue. Yes, and this is the  "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA",  a country founded on Christian principles.
Wrong. This country was definitely NOT founded on Christianity. Read what George Washington backed, and James Adams signed, still sitting in the historical archives:
"The United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion."
Got that? "Not in any sense." I'd say that's pretty downright clear, wouldn't you? This comes from the Treaty of Tripoli, and was ratified by a UNANIMOUS vote of Congress. One of only three times in history a unanimous vote was recorded. So that clears our foundation of the Christian religion.

And we are in the Bible Belt. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200! -to-1.
Might makes Right. How typical of Christians (and other religions).
So, what would you expect......somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
I'd bet you sure wouldn't tolerate that though, would you?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.

If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.

"...Do as the Romans do. Would you? Really? Would you pray to the Jewish, Muslim, and Buddist Gods? I rather doubt you would! But you certainly have no problem expecting everyone else to conform to your child-killing God who had virgins sacrificed to Him now, don't you? But then again - we're dealing with your "Might makes Right" attitude...
"But what about the atheists?" is another argument.

What about them?
Exactly. What do you care? Screw them... right?
Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom.Visit the concession stand, Call your lawyer, etc...... Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do.
One or two? Hopefully more of the meager 14% of our A-theist (Non-believer) population in the future WILL stand up and fight. Because we see people like you for who you really are: HypoChristians. Why that term? Because you lie endlessly, fabricating your "truth" while looking the other way of history. Saying things like how Washington, Adams, Lincoln, and Jefferson were Christians when any true reasoning will look at thier historic writings which read quite the opposite.  You simply accept for fact anything that sounds good for your cause, without bothering to verify it first. You, in short, are disgustingly dishonest. You don't even put out the Bible's "official" version of the Ten Commandments because the later (contradicting) version sounds so much better. (And the only problem with baptism, btw? They didn't hold you under long enough.)
I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.
Likewise, a pick isn't likely to knock out your home's foundation. But why let the HypoChristians pick away at your foundation?
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us just to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.  God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well..........just sue me.
"While the courts strip us of all our rights?" Let me tell you something: This country, the United States of America, was founded as a DEMOCRACY, not a THEOCRACY, which is what it would be if it were founded on your "Christian Principles." A democracy means FREEDOM of choice, which is why religions do so well here in the first place. And the principle of democracy certainly wasn't founded by the Hebrews or Christians, that's for sure! Being Christian means you surrender yourself over to Jesus - you let Him drive. Admit it: that's true. And that, if you've the intelligence to figure it out, is certainly NOT freedom. That's called programming your mind to whatever religion takes it. The freedom of choice is yours, but I'll take HONESTY & REASON above religion any day.
The silent majority has been silent too long.. it's time we let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard, that the vast majority don't care what they want.. it is time the majority rules!
Yes - go out to your windows, fling them open, and yell out "I'm NOT gonna TAKE IT anymore!! MIGHT MAKES RIGHT!!!!!"
It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray.. you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance, you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right.. but by golly you are no longer going to take our rights away.. we are fighting back.. and we WILL WIN!   Afte! r all, the God you have the right to denounce is on our side!
I want to say the Pledge of Allegiance in the ORIGINAL way, the way BEFORE the HypoChristians inserted their sadisitic God into it! Because you WANT to take everyone's DEMOCRACY and RIGHTS away to make it your HYPOCHRISTIAN THEOCRACY.
God bless us one and all, especially those who denounce Him...
Yes, chant the mantra. Continue programming yourself to be closed and selfish-righteous...
God bless America, despite all her faults.. still the greatest nation of all....
It's our MANIFEST DESTINY, after all! (Ahh, but you'll probably have to look up that Self-Righteous Christian term though, wont you??? But then again, it's only your HISTORY. You'd rather hide that, because you're God's nothing but pureness and goodness now, isn't He?)
God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God...
And don't forget your Roman Rule now... pray to Allah & Yehovah & Buddha...
May "2003" be the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions.
The Christian way: erase history and rewrite it in your favor...
Keep looking up...... In God WE Trust
Yes, and THAT motto was thrust upon our paper money by the HypoChristians, replacing "E Plurbis Unim" ("Out of Many, One"). But why should we all work together to be free, when we can be forced to give in to your "Might makes Right?" Heck, you've done it to nations worldwide. Why not America too?
If you agree with this, please pass it on.  If not, delete it.
No - I wont delete it! I'll speak up for the fairness and honesty you disregard in your selfish-righteous attitude. And hey: The Samuel Thompson who supposedly wrote this? Take a look at this page announcing it: http://www.scamsandscandals.com/SamThompson.htm . There it echoes the above Samuel Thompson email, giving an account of his life as a supporter of the American Revolution (copied below). Now, reread the words he supposedly wrote... Mmm hmm: he wrote about Santa Claus, high school, Darwin, football games, Hare Krishnas, and Walkmans back then huh? See what I mean about HypoChristian crap & lies, or about their simply accepting anything that promotes their cause? Do you really believe someone from 250 years ago wrote ANY of that? Well naturally, they'll change their tune and make him more contemporary, but I think the truth more likely that your typical HypoChristian wrote it.

THOMPSON, SAMUEL (1765-1843). Samuel Thompson, physician, participant in the Revolutionary War, and alcaldeqv of San Augustine Municipality, Texas, was born in 1765, the son of George Thompson of England. He was a resident of the Spartanburg District of South Carolina when he enlisted for service in the American Revolution in 1778 or 1779, at the age of thirteen or fourteen, under Capt. Joseph Wofford. He was an express carrier and wagoner and fought in the battle of Cowpens. Thompson married Precius Wofford after the war, and the couple owned three slaves. They sailed with other members of the Thompson family to Coahuila and Texasqv in 1826. Dr. Thompson is listed in Stephen F. Austin'sqv register of families, and the first census of Texas enrolled him as a physician owning eighteen slaves. In 1834 and 1835 Thompson was alcalde in San Augustine. Thompson Academy was founded about 1839. The institution, about seven miles east of San Augustine, was donated by Thompson and named after him. He died in 1843 in San Augustine County and was buried on the original Thompson settlement.
